Gwen Stefani's First Wedding Dress Was Dip-Dyed Pink - What Will She Surprise Us With Now?
I'm not going to lie, a part of me wants Gwen Stefani to walk down the aisle to Blake Shelton in cargo pants and cowboy boots. But I'm sure she'll impress us in something far better than that. The singer has worn the likes of Valentino, Vivienne Westwood, Vera Wang, and Margiela on red carpets past, but her first wedding dress (which she wore in 2002 to marry Gavin Rossdale), was by John Galliano. The designer created her a custom dip-dyed dress in an asymmetrical silhouette with a pink skirt. Gwen brought the color moment full circle with a tiny pink bow pinned to the tulle at the top of her corset - because not all brides wear white.
Of course, Gwen has come a long way in her fashion evolution since then, but we like to think she'll always pay homage to her punk roots, and maybe add a subtle, tough edge to her bridal look.
We're thinking something along the lines of the "Fashion Icon" train she wore to the 2019 People's Choice Awards, customized by Vera Wang.
Ahead, we've gathered some of Gwen's most striking fashion moments, all of which showcase her range of style.
From sequins and tulle to bright colors and sheer panels,
Gwen can truly wear anything.
Only time will tell if she adds a country twist to her party look. Is anyone else picturing a bejeweled bodysuit and diamond-encrusted cowgirl hat for dancing the night away at the reception?
----------------
My Thoughts:
I can’t imagine how many designers are going to be trying to design her wedding dress!

NEW YORK (AP) — Patrick Demarchelier, the French-born photographer known for his high fashion images of top models and celebrities, including Princess Diana, has died. He was 78.
His Instagram account broke the news of his death Thursday but offered no further details. Attempts to reach his family have been unsuccessful.
Demarchelier made a career out of luxury brand campaigns, including those for Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Dior, and worked for Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Elle and other top fashion magazines. He began shooting Diana in 1989 and continued as her personal photographer until the early '90s.
He also put out books of photography, worked on the Pirelli calendar, enjoyed cameos in “Sex & the City" and the film “The September Issue,” and had stints on “America’s Next Top Model.” They immortalized him in “The Devil Wears Prada,” when Anne Hathaway's clueless Andy Sachs does not know who he is, later telling boss Miranda Priestly, “I have Patrick" before transferring his call.
Known to work quickly and on instinct, the self-taught Demarchelier first shot for Vogue in 1975, before moving to New York from Paris.
By 2018, it heavily damaged his reputation after The Boston Globe reported accusations of sexual misconduct by 50 models. He denied any wrongdoing, but Vogue and other publications cut him off. He was among several photographers accused amid the #MeToo movement.
The lensman didn't just work in the fashion industry. He shot Janet Jackson's topless cover for Rolling Stone in 1993, her breasts covered by the hands of then-boyfriend Rene Elizondo. He trained his lens on Madonna in an iconic 1990 image of the star in a bejeweled bustier and again in leather, a cigarette dangling from her lips, during her “Justify My Love” days. And he captured Britney Spears repeatedly.
His work with Diana as the first non-British photographer hired took him to a new level. The French Ministry of Culture named Demarchelier an officer dans l’ordre des arts et des lettres in 2007, the same year that he received the CFDA Founder’s Award in Honor of Eleanor Lambert.
Demarchelier began shooting as a teen in Le Havre, Normandy. He moved to New York in his early 30s, working on ad campaigns. His career exploded in the U.S. as his reputation spread. He shot for major designers like Tommy Hilfiger and Vera Wang, and he worked for beauty companies and non-luxury brands like H&M.
Social media condolences flooded in when word of his death spread. Supermodel Amber Valletta posted: “He is fashion history and legendary photography. We will miss him.”
They survived DeMarchelier by his wife, Mia, sons Gustaf, Arthur and Victor, and three grandchildren.

Chrissy Metz Opts for Nathan Paul Dress Over Christian Siriano at Golden Globes: ‘It Just Spoke to Me’

Chrissy Metz, the breakout star of NBC’s This Is Us, made a head-turning appearance on the Golden Globes red carpet Sunday night — and not only because she looked stunning.
Metz, who received a nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television, surprised those who have been following along by appearing not in a Christian Siriano gown as planned, but in a bejeweled, deep-purple creation by Nathan Paul.
“[Nathan Paul is] a new designer,” she told Glamour. “I had a couple choices for dresses, which, wow, I didn’t think I’d have — what an honor. And I just was like, ‘I want to feel comfortable, I love purple, why the hell not?’ It spoke to me.”
Paul, based in New York, is also a Project Runway alum (Season 10) and has worked with brands including Ralph Rucci and Vera Wang, according to his website.
The switch was a bit of a shocker as Metz, 36, had been quite public about her planned team-up with Siriano, inviting E! News to the final fitting and telling the network that she “got really lucky” to end up working with the Project Runway grad, who is known for being inspired by women who don’t fit cookie-cutter fashion molds regarding body size, age, and other expectations.
Siriano even designed two gown options for Metz’s big night — one, a flowing red number with intricate beading, and the other a one-shouldered turquoise gown. His only comments on the matter so far have been a pair of tweets:
Correction: She’s not wearing Siriano tonight https://t.co/P1qk2ZAmv6
— Christian Siriano (@CSiriano) January 8, 2017
.@chelofthesea @YahooStyle @ChrissyMetz We made two options and her team chose to tell press beforehand. She went with another.
— Christian Siriano (@CSiriano) January 9, 2017
Some of his fans reacted with disappointment:
@CSiriano @chelofthesea @YahooStyle @ChrissyMetz I was wondering… was waiting to see what she choice. She should’ve stuck with you!!
— Renee Biernbaum (@PinkGlitz_84) January 9, 2017
@CSiriano bummed she didn’t wear one of yours! They were both stunning
— Brittany Curtis (@b_curtis) January 9, 2017
But Siriano instead spent most of his Twitter time focusing on the other stars he dressed tonight — Issa Rae, Angela Bassett, Rachel Bloom, and Kelly Preston — as did his biggest supporters, including Nina Garcia, who gave him a big Bravo!” shoutout on Twitter.

NEW YORK | Holy haute couture: Divine designs grace carpet at Met Gala

NEW YORK | Holy haute couture: Divine designs grace carpet at Met Gala
NEW YORK (AP) — Divine designs floated up the red carpet at Monday’s religion-themed Met Gala in red and fuchsia, crowns and crosses and even a pair of wings.
Katy Perry rose to the occasion of night’s theme challenge with larger-than-life feathered angel wings, metallic boots and dress by Versace. After wowing on the red carpet, the pop star was forced to turn sideways to squeeze the six-foot stunners through the gala entryway.
If anyone can make a mitre modern, it’s Rihanna. The Grammy-winning artist arrived dripping in pearls and crystals in a Maison Margiela minidress and ornate robe designed by John Galliano. The “Diamonds” hitmaker, one of the evening’s co-chairs, is never one to shy away from a grand entrance. At last year’s gala, she stunned in a dress covered in fluttery petal-like pieces by Japanese designer Rei Kawakubo.
The annual fundraising fete in New York brings out Hollywood’s elite for an evening of fashion and charity and to celebrate this year’s exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute — “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination.”
Stars tackled the dress code in elaborate headpieces, a sea of shimmering gold and, of course, crosses. Uma Thurman accessorized an off-the-shoulder, peal-encrusted Gabriela Hearst dress with a necklace of bright jeweled ones. Jennifer Lopez, who picked a colorful Balmain number with a feathered train and sky-high slit, had a cross bejeweled across her chest. While “Black Panther” star Chadwick Boseman donned an ivory cape featuring the religious symbol in gold beadwork. And Kim Kardashian West — walking the carpet sans her husband, Kanye West, who is under fire for recent tweets supporting the president and declaring slavery is “a choice” — wore hers on a shimmering gold Versace dress.
Bella Hadid held court as a gothic priestess as her gold-embroidered headpiece fanned out over a simple black corset and skirt. The dramatic look was topped off with a structured, embossed leather jacket, emblazoned with a gold cross.
Always on point Sarah Jessica Parker chose her gown and headdress from a series of drawings by Dolce & Gabbana. The intricate headpiece was a Neapolitan nativity altar made to scale by the Italian design house.
Kate Bosworth’s pearl-encrusted veil draped over a shimmering tulle gown by Oscar de la Renta, while Mindy Kaling donned a regal, blue-jeweled crown with a feminine silver gown and navy gloves. Kaling stars in the upcoming “Ocean’s 8,” a jewelry heist romp set at the Met Gala.
Ariana Grande arrived with designer Vera Wang, who created the singer’s romantic look: a strapless confection of soft layers patterned with Michelangelo’s Last Judgment, atop blush tulle. This year’s co-chairs also include Vogue’s Anna Wintour, Amal Clooney and Donatella Versace.
Clooney arrived early in a striking silver corseted top, matched with navy slacks and a cascading metallic, rose-patterned skirt. The ensemble, from designer Richard Quinn, made a crinkling sound as she made her way up the Met’s iconic steps.
Though the recent Vogue cover girl arrived with movie star husband George Clooney, the Academy Award winner knew his place. “I’m the flower on the side,” he joked to reporters.
Wintour arrived in a beaded off-white Chanel gown and a cross necklace alongside her daughter, Bee Shaffer and addressed rumors she may soon step down as Vogue’s editor-in-chief.
“I hope not,” Wintour simply said before heading into the soiree. Other hints of the night’s theme shown through on Olivia Munn’s gold mesh headdress and Lynda Carter’s updo, which featured a sparkling Star of David. Munn wore a custom H&M gown inspired by the Crusades.
Rita Ora’s massive train trailed behind as photographers frantically snapped pictures of her elaborate, spiked headdress paired with a black Prada gown in layers a cheer fabric and sequin gloves.
The gala is a fundraising benefit for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, which each year welcomes celebrities from film, TV, fashion, sports and music. ___ AP Entertainment Writer Brooke Lefferts contributed to this report.

Serena Williams Weds Alexis Ohanian in Alexander McQueen
A post shared by The Wedding Conductor (@theweddingconductor) on Nov 20, 2017 at 9:27am PST
The star-studded New Orleans Beauty and the Beast-themed wedding of tennis superstar Serena Williams and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian took place on Thursday (November 16).
Guests included Ciara (in Michael Costello), Eva Longoria, Kim Kardashian (in Alex Perry), Tina Knowles (in MNM Couture), Kelly Rowland (in Pamella Roland), Jay Z and Beyonce Knowles (in Alexandre Vauthier) and LaLa Anthony (in Vera Wang).
Serena had a beautiful fairytale, princess moment wearing a strapless ball gown designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, which featured a sheer sparkly cape which was a long as her train.
Alexis wore a Giorgio Armani Made to Measure midnight blue velvet jacket suit for the ceremony, as did his groomsmen.
A post shared by Vogue (@voguemagazine) on Nov 17, 2017 at 6:46pm PST
For the reception Serena switched into a custom-made feathered gown by Versace, which I think is just as beautiful as her gown.
Meanwhile Alex wore his second Giorgio Armani Made to Measure suit of the evening.
A post shared by Alexis Ohanian Sr. (@alexisohanian) on Nov 18, 2017 at 7:37am PST
For her third and final outfit change, Serena wore a sparkling Versace mini dress that featured a bejewelled bodice which she paired with sparkly Nike sneakers later in the evening.

Serena’s sister Venus, along with her seven bridesmaids, all wore custom-made cream-colored gowns designed by Galia Lahav.

Spring 2017 Nail Colors
We may be in the middle of winter, but it’s never too soon to start thinking spring. It’s also never too soon to cop some chic spring nail polish colors. Whether you prefer glittery digits, bright and cheery colors, or even muted, grungy nails, all those looks and more are on point for 2017. It’s time for a mani!
Grays and blacks
Channel your inner goth and sport some gray scale or black nails this winter. Vera Wang and The Blonds both had models strutting the runways with dark nails. If you think plain black would be too polarizing, try a matte finish or take a hint from The Blonds and bejewel your fingers.
